Burundi 2017: A Quick Update

I don’t have the time or bandwidth to post a post of normal length (or any images), but I am able to take the opportunity to say we’re here safe and sound!  I’m posting from the THARS office in Bujumbura, the capital.

The rest of our day is low-key and easy: sightseeing, souvenir shopping, and the like.  The real work starts after we venture into the mountains—in Gitega.

At a later date (when everyone’s not waiting for me and this router), I’ll be sure to post pictures of the whole team and the landscape.  For now, I should move on.  Keep sending the thoughts, prayers, and good vibes our way; everything helps.  More to come soon enough!
