Dear Readers:

First, I must thank you all for your continued support.  We’re nearing a hundred WordPress followers, and I can’t emphasize enough how much that means to me.  Unfortunately, because I don’t make enough through Patreon yet, this blog is not my only job—I also work in the front of the house at a casual American grill.

Specifically, I just moved there from my old (worse) job in July, and almost everything about that move has improved my life, barring one thing: my blog’s schedule.  It’s difficult to explain in full, but the ebb and flow of business at my new restaurant is different from the rhythm of my previous one.  I’ve been trying to fit my old blog schedule into my new restaurant one and it hasn’t worked.  As a result, the quality of my work has declined, and that’s unacceptable.

If I want to provide you with the quality writing that you absolutely deserve, something has to change.  My first (and hopefully final) attempt to fix this is moving my weekly posts from Sundays (as they’ve been for a long, long time) to Thursdays, which makes perfect sense within my little world.  If you want more specifics on that front, you need only ask.

Finally, I’m also in the process of revamping my Patreon reward tiers.  I’ve already instated a Discord chat room where I hang out with Patrons (particularly while I’m writing) and will be releasing an Umbrella Terms calendar featuring pictures of the Little Blue Umbrellas throughout the world.  I’m really excited for all of this, and I hope you are too.  You’ll get the post you expected today on Thursday of this week, and in the meantime, keep exploring, my friends.
